Independent sourcing service. KeystoneSource Sourcing is not Guerdon and does not claim authorized dealer status. Alternative modular and portable buildings are what this desk can ask factories to quote.

KeystoneSource Sourcing Quote Scope Review

KeystoneSource Sourcing reads a Guerdon search as a prompt to compare other modular systems. The work is a written scope check. It is not a builder appointment, and the desk does not claim authorized dealer status. Send project requirements when the six fields are known, even if a load value is still marked unknown.

Shell package beside a broader ask

The two columns are scope labels, not two models and not two prices. A cell that says buyer means that work stays outside the factory package until a supplier writes it in. Freight, tax, and a local crane are easy to hide inside a low module price, so they stay on their own lines.

Checks the desk repeats to every factory

  • One specification sheet

Each supplier receives the same use, footprint, module dimensions, quantity, and destination. A private extra is marked as an alternate, not mixed into the base price.

  • Loads left blank stay blank

If wind speed, ground snow load, or seismic design category is unknown, the factory states the assumption. The desk does not invent a county value to make two bids look aligned.

  • Transport called out

A volumetric box and a panelized kit do not share a truck plan. The quotation names the transport envelope, the escort assumption, and who unloads.

  • Exclusions in writing

Foundation, permits, tax, crane, and utility tie-in are either inside the number or listed as excluded. A missing line is treated as unknown, not as included.

Questions that change the comparison

Which costs need a separate line?

Ocean or domestic freight, duties, state tax, foundation concrete, crane time, and interior finishes. A module price that absorbs some of these and a module price that excludes all of them cannot be ranked by the unit figure alone.

What must each supplier quote?

The product form, the dimensions, the design criteria used, the finish level, the quantity, the destination, the delivery window they can discuss, and the documents that travel with that system. A verbal match to a brand name is not a quotation.

Can standards be copied from a brochure?

IBC, IRC, HUD Code, ASCE 7, AISC 360, AWS D1.1, IAS AC472, and ISO 9001 are names to verify against the quoted system, the plant, and the project jurisdiction. A logo on a website is not evidence that this desk or an unnamed plant holds that credential.

Who decides code compliance?

The authority having jurisdiction and the professionals engaged for that site. KeystoneSource Sourcing can ask a factory which edition it designed to. It cannot issue a permit or declare a building approved.

Review the inquiry cards before you send the requirement.

Send the scope, then ask for factory quotes

A complete note names the product form, the quantity, the destination, and the exclusions. Optional budget and supplier preference can ride along. They are buyer notes, not a published price.
